Tidemark Bot turns the time your members already spend in your server into XP, levels and roles.

Messages earn XP on a cooldown, and time spent in voice earns XP per minute. Levels are derived from total XP, and reaching one can grant a role automatically. Members check their own standing with /level and the ranking with /leaderboard.

Voice XP that cannot be farmed

Voice XP needs other people. By default:

• A member earns only while at least two people are in the channel
• The AFK channel and stage audiences earn nothing
• Being deafened earns a quarter, being muted earns half

Text XP has a cooldown, so sending ten messages in a row is worth one.

Role rewards

Attach a role to any level, and choose whether members keep every role they earn or only the highest one. Level-ups can be posted in the channel where they happened or in a channel you pick, and sent by DM as well — with a message you write.

Leaderboards that reset

All-time, weekly and monthly, switched with a button. Weekly and monthly boards turn over at midnight in the timezone you set, so every week starts a fresh race.

Your data stays yours

• /xp export hands you every member's XP as a CSV file, and keeps working even without a subscription
• /xp import brings XP in from a CSV file of user IDs and total XP, for example when moving from another bot, with a preview before anything is applied
• Admins can set, add, remove or reset one member's XP by hand

Getting started

1. Add Tidemark Bot to your server, then run /subscription to start the 14-day free trial. Text and voice XP run from then on, with sensible defaults.
2. Run /settings to set XP rates, role rewards, your timezone, and where level-ups are announced.
3. Members check themselves with /level and the ranking with /leaderboard.

Permissions and privacy

Three permissions and nothing else: View Channels, Send Messages, Manage Roles. Tidemark Bot does not use the Message Content intent — it counts that a message was sent without reading it.
