Slowmode

Slowmode does one thing well: it puts channel rate limits at your moderators' fingertips.

Discord's slowmode is buried in channel settings, and only people with full channel-edit
access can reach it. This bot exposes it as a slash command, so trusted mods can slow a
channel down the moment a conversation gets heated — without leaving the chat.

Commands

• /slowmode [seconds] — Set the delay between messages for this channel. Accepts 0–21600
seconds (0 to 6 hours). Pass 0 to turn slowmode off. Requires Manage Channels.
• /show — Check the current slowmode for this channel. Anyone can run it.

Works in text channels, threads, and voice channel chat.

Privacy first

The bot requests no message content intent and cannot read your messages. It only
receives the slash commands you explicitly send it. Required permission: Manage Channels.

Built-in safeguards

• Permission checks on both the user and the bot, so failures are explained instead of silent.
• Per-server cooldowns to prevent command spam.
• Clear error messages when a channel doesn't support slowmode.
