Ratch

Ratch provides server administration utilities, personal scheduling, developer lookup tools, and interactive games without unnecessary complexity or unsolicited messaging.

Key Capabilities

Server Moderation

• Granular Purge: Bulk delete messages with targeted filters (bots only, humans only, specific users, text search, regex matching, attachments, links, or embeds) including a safe dry-run preview.

• Member Management: Standard moderation actions (/ban, /unban, /kick, /timeout, /untimeout) supporting relative time syntax and automatic unbanning for temporary penalties.

• Permission Verification: Role hierarchy and Discord permission checks applied on every administrative interaction.

Tools and Reminders

• Scheduled Reminders: Set personal or channel reminders with natural relative durations (/remind 2h30m submit pull request) and inspect pending tasks via /reminders.

• Discord Timestamps: Generate localized Discord timestamp tags in all supported styles using /timestamp and calculate exact differences with /until.

• Entity Inspection: Query creation dates and metadata for users, servers, channels, and raw Discord snowflakes.

Technical Lookups

• Documentation Lookups: Search Wikipedia, English dictionary definitions, and Urban Dictionary.

• Package Registry Queries: Fetch release versions, licenses, and repository links from GitHub, npm, and PyPI.

Interactive Games and Entertainment

• Wordle: Six-attempt word deduction game with interactive modal input and visual feedback.

• Hangman: Interactive letter guessing with difficulty presets.

• Trivia: Category-based trivia questions with live external question fetching and verified local fallback.

• Server Polls: Multi-option interactive polls with real-time tallying.

Installation Contexts

• Ratch supports both standard Server Installation (inviting the bot to manage a community) and User Installation (adding the bot to your personal Discord account for cross-server utility and lookup commands).
