What is Discord Pandemic?

Discord Pandemic is a Discord Minigame bot with a backstory.

Patient zero went to the market and ate a snail from India, little did he know it lived in the dirtiest crevice known to man. The poor snail was infected with the new strain of DV1 (Discord Virus Version 1). When patient zero ate the snail, he noticed a strange taste in his mouth. He went to tell his friends on discord. Little did he know, he would start the spread of the DV1 virus.

Now, many people are infected with the virus, and every message they send in any server that the bot is in could infect another user. For every person that they infect, they can also infect another person! Every person that infects someone gets DNA points which they can spend to upgrade their virus and make sure that it doesn't become irrelevant.

How to play

To begin playing Discord Pandemic Mini-Game all you have to do is invite the bot to your server (Or join a server the bot is in) and start sending messages in channels. For every message you send there is a 10% chance that the channel you have just spoken in gets infected. If a channel becomes infected the next person to talk in that channel will then become infected. This will then give you DNA which you can spend upgrading your virus. Infected people stay infected for 1 hour, and during this time they cannot be infected by anybody else.

If you get infected, not to worry! There are no negative effects for you, other than the fact that you have just allowed someone to gain more DNA. You can compete for the most DNA with the .leaderboard command.

FAQ

Q: Will everybody in my server get infected?

A: If everybody in your server talks and is active in chat, that is definetly a possible outcome yes! However, people can only be infected for 1 hour at a time.

Q: If I send a message in a channel, can it infect someone 5 days later?

A: This outcome can only happen if the bot has not been restarted in 5 days, or if the channel which the message was sent has not had messages recieved in it for a long period of time.

Q: How do I know if a channel is infected?

A: Currently there is no way of knowing. However, this is not something which will cause any issues or detur anybody f
