A ban only works if they can't walk back in

Most moderation bots handle what happens after someone misbehaves. Nyra handles the part nobody else does: making sure the person you banned yesterday isn't back today under a new name.

Every new member is held until they verify on a page that reads their browser, device and connection — all hashed before they are stored, so nothing raw is ever kept. A second account from the same person is recognised and turned away, or linked to the first, so one ban covers all of them.

Not flagging someone's brother. A shared network on its own is a household, a school or a phone carrier. Every match carries a strength, and you choose how much it takes — from "same browser only" to "catch VPN alts, and expect appeals".

What else it does

• Anti-nuke — per-action limits per moderator, with granting Administrator or adding a bot stopped on the first try. A honeypot channel catches wipers before they reach a real one.
• Moderation with a record — ban, kick, warn, timeout, purge and jail, each written to a per-server case history you can read and correct.
• AutoMod — spam, links, invites, caps and word filters, each with its own action and its own exempt roles and channels.
• Logging — 25 event types, individually toggleable, every entry quoting what it is about.
• Appeals — banned members get a link and a form; you review the queue from the dashboard and the ban lifts on approval.
• Tickets, levels, welcomes, starboard, giveaways, polls and reaction roles.
