Moddy

Discord moderation is solved

Moddy is an AI moderator. Write your rules the way you'd explain them to a new mod, like "no advertising other servers" or "no spoilers for the new season", and Moddy reads every message in context and deletes or times out anything that breaks them. No regex, no keyword lists, no bypasses.

How it works

1. Add Moddy and open your server at moddy.bot.
2. Write your rules in plain English.
3. Moddy handles the rest. It catches spaced-out letters, look-alike characters and split messages that keyword filters miss, while leaving friendly banter alone.

Features

• Reads the room: checks each message with the member's recent messages and the channel conversation.
• Delete, time out, or both: choose per rule, with your own timeout length.
• Scoped rules: include or skip roles and channels (threads too). Administrators are skipped by default.
• Explains itself: members get a DM with their message and the rule it broke.
• Clean mod logs: every action is posted in your logging channel with a jump link.
• Confidence threshold: Moddy only acts when it's at least 75% sure, adjustable per rule.
• Built-in tester and statistics in the web dashboard.

Private by design

Message text is never stored in our database, and stats keep only IDs, times, matched rules and actions. If the AI can't be reached, Moddy does nothing; it never deletes on an error. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms.

Permissions

View Channels, Read Message History, Send Messages, Manage Messages (to delete) and Moderate Members (to time out). Put Moddy's role above the members it should time out.
