About
Someone asks you something in a channel. You read it, get pulled into a call, and by the time you are back the message is a thousand lines up. Nobody meant to drop it — it just scrolled away.
Mention Reminder watches for exactly that. Every time somebody @-mentions you, it opens a private reminder in a thread only you can see, and keeps it there until the mention has actually been answered.
1. Someone mentions you. The bot puts a 🔔 on their message — a quiet signal that it is still waiting on an answer.
2. You get a private thread. One always-current list of everything still owed a reply, each entry with a jump link straight back to the original message.
3. It clears itself. Reply in the thread, react to the message, type a quick "ok, on it" nearby, or press Done in your list. Nobody maintains a task list — including you.
You pick the hours of the day you want to be nudged — say 09:00 and 17:00 — in your own timezone. That is the whole setting. No stream of pings, no cadence to tune, no quiet hours to define: the quiet hours are the ones you did not pick. Two people in the same channel can be on completely different rhythms.
Role and @everyone mentions are off by default and opt in per server. With them on, an AI check reads the message first and decides whether it actually asks somebody for a personal response — so "deploy is on Friday 🎉" does not turn into a reminder for fifty people.
There are none, on purpose. Everything an admin configures — who receives reminders, the default hours, which kinds of mention count — lives in the web panel at mentionreminder.com. Members never learn a command; they just get their thread.
Free for up to 5 people, tracking direct @user mentions. Paid plans add role and @everyone mentions, the AI check, several reminder hours a day and unlimited servers — from $3 per person per month.
Mention Reminder also runs on Slack. One account covers both, and somebody mentioned in either place sees a single list.
