🦆 Mallard — The Scriptable Discord Bot

Most bots give you a fixed list of features and a settings page. Mallard gives you
the engine. Every slash command, event reaction, and scheduled job on your server
is a small piece of JavaScript that you write — in a full web dashboard with a
Monaco code editor, live logs, and a complete API reference.

If you can describe the behaviour, you can build it. No hosting, no deployments,
no keeping a process alive at 3am. That part is ours.

How it works

1. Log in with Discord at dashboard.mallard.bot.
2. Pick a trigger — a slash command, a member joining, a message posted, a
reaction, a timer, a Twitch stream going live, and ~40 more.
3. Write the script in JavaScript. Ban, kick, timeout, send embeds, open
threads, create channels, call external APIs, store data — it all runs the
moment your script calls it.
4. Save. It's live. We run it on our infrastructure, 24/7.

What your scripts can do

• Moderation — ban, kick, timeout, unban, slowmode, and temp-bans that

auto-lift on a schedule.

• Messaging — send messages and rich embeds, buttons, and modal forms that

drive multi-step flows.

• The whole gateway — react to members, messages, reactions, threads, voice,

invites, scheduled events, AutoMod, audit-log entries, and more.

• fetch() — real outbound HTTP, so scripts can call any API: AI models,

RSS feeds, webhooks, your own backend.

• Encrypted secrets — store API keys as opaque tokens that are only ever

substituted server-side inside fetch(), never visible to your script or mods.

• Key-value storage — persistent per-server storage for settings, moderation

history, and custom state.

• Scheduled jobs — run work on a timer for announcements, sweeps, and reminders.
• Twitch integration — go-live alerts, offline and channel-update events, and

buffered chat/channel-point batches for any linked channel.

• Ban appeals — a public appeal form that routes submissions straight into a

script you control.

Built for real servers

Scripts run per-server with sensible hourly budgets, so one busy server can't
starve another. Live counters (ctx.fetchCallsRemaining, ctx.restActionsRemaining)
let a script size itself to what it has left. Full whole-server export/import means
your entire configuration — settings, scripts, and data — is one JSON file you own.
