Hit-Star

Hit-Star is a music trivia game that runs embedded inside a Discord voice channel. When a group joins a voice call, anyone can launch the activity and immediately start playing together with no accounts, no downloads, and no room codes to share. The room is tied to the Discord activity instance, so everyone in the channel lands in the same game automatically.

Each round, a 30-second song preview plays for all players at once. The active player has to decide where in their personal timeline the song belongs, placing it between two cards they have already collected. The title, artist, and year stay hidden until the placement is locked in. Get it right and the card stays in your timeline. Get it wrong and it is discarded. Everyone else watches the active player's timeline while they think, and the turn rotates after each reveal.

The first player to build a timeline of 10 correctly placed cards wins.

Song packs let players choose what they hear. The free Hits and Rock packs cover decades of chart and classic rock. Paid packs add Hip-Hop and R&B, Movie and TV soundtracks, German Bangers, and Schlager. The host picks which packs are active before the game starts, and one player owning a paid pack unlocks it for the whole room.

Audio is sourced from Deezer's preview API at request time and streamed directly from their CDN. Nothing is stored or redistributed by the game server.
