fanping in a channel
- /fanping: Running the Discord for a streamer, or for several streamers on one server: ask each of them for a setup link from their fanping dashboard. You sign in with Discord, connect the server (you need Manage Server there) and pick the channels their pings land in, without a fanping account. A link covers one server, lasts two days and the streamer can invalidate it any time. If you added the app from the directory first, /fanping in the server tells you what is missing, and once it is set up, where the go-live posts land. Admins can also make a fanping account. The first to setup the fanping Discord bot on a server is the owner of the bot and also can change the branding of the bot.
About
What fanping does
For streamers on Twitch, YouTube and Kick, and for the admins who run their Discord.
fanping posts the go-live in Discord the second the stream starts, in the streamer's own words, so the community catches it live. Streamers set it up once in the fanping dashboard or hand the channel setup to the admin who runs their server. Free, with no member cap.
Make every stream an event
- The day before: a countdown that ticks in every reader's own time zone.
- Go-live: the streamer's template and mentions, the server's emotes and the game art. Game and title filters keep a warm-up in the wrong category quiet.
- While live: a live role in the member list. The post can carry a voucher drop (one code for everyone, or up to 500 single-use codes) or a native Discord poll.
- After: a recap 2 to 30 minutes later, with the VOD. YouTube uploads get their own post.
- and there is a lot more ...
For streamers
Sign up at fanping.app (free), connect your Twitch, YouTube or Kick account and your Discord, pick the channels and write your template. Send a test post with silent mentions, and you are done. No commands to learn, nothing to configure inside Discord.
For server admins
Running the Discord for a streamer, or for several streamers on one server: ask each of them for a setup link from their fanping dashboard. Six permissions, none privileged
The bot is a megaphone, not a moderator. It asks for View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Mention Everyone, Manage Roles (only for the live role, roles with moderator permissions are refused) and Manage Webhooks. It cannot read messages, the member list or anyone's presence. Every post passes content moderation before it reaches a channel. Reaction statistics count emojis, never who reacted. Remove the bot and it stops.
Free
1 server, 5 channels, unlimited go-live pings, live roles, reaction statistics, no member cap. Pro subscription adds 3 servers with 10 channels each, click statistics and live-card updates for the whole stream. The community never pays.
fanping is the ping platform for creators: the same announcement reaches fans on the fanping iOS and Android apps too. Questions: hello@fanping.app
