byteGuard is a Discord security bot made to help servers deal with image-based scam posts.

A lot of scam accounts no longer rely on normal text messages. They use fake Nitro screenshots, QR codes, giveaway images, crypto scams, adult profile bait, and hidden links inside images because basic filters often do not catch them.

byteGuard focuses on that problem by scanning posted images, checking QR codes, detecting suspicious scam content, and removing flagged posts automatically.

Main features

Image scam detection
Scans posted images for scam content, fake giveaways, phishing attempts, fake Nitro messages, hidden links, and other suspicious image-based posts.

QR code scanning
Checks QR codes inside images so phishing links do not get ignored just because they are hidden inside a picture.

Known scam matching
Remembers known scam images, allowing repeated scam posts to be detected faster when they appear again.

Sensitivity levels
Server staff can choose how strict byteGuard should be with /sensitivity set lenient|balanced|strict.

Lenient is better for servers with giveaways, promo channels, or marketplace activity. Balanced is recommended for most servers. Strict is made for servers currently dealing with active scam spam.

Role whitelist
Trusted roles can be excluded from scanning with /whitelist, useful for staff, announcement bots, or trusted promo roles.

Moderation logs
Use /setlog to choose where byteGuard should send moderation logs, so staff can see what was removed and why.

False positive reports
If something is removed incorrectly, users can report it. Staff can review the report and remove the image from the known scam list if needed.

Built for server security

byteGuard is currently focused on image scam moderation, but future updates are planned to expand it into a larger security bot with anti-raid tools, spam protection, lockdown features, stronger link filtering, and a web dashboard.

The current version is free to use and only asks for the permissions needed for the features it has now.
