What is the BitLife game?
BitLife, or BitLife – Life Simulator, is a wildly popular text-based life simulation game developed by Candywriter, where you make choices for a character from birth to death. This is purely a relaxing simulator, with no competitive elements. Just make your choices year by year and watch how virtual life unfolds based on each decision.

You can make as many choices as you want: where you'd like to live, immigrating to another country or not, applying for a job, purchasing cars, investing in real estate, etc. You might get rejected many times; perhaps, like in real life, it’s not easy to have everything you want, and you need to accept this fact of life to be happy. Keep going and live the life you want.

How to play BitLife?
In BitLife online, your character starts as a newborn and moves through different life stages until he or she passes away. Again, you need to make choices at every stage of life. Of course, as life unfolds, you need to make different types of decisions that shape the years and stages that follow.

Infancy
In the first years, there’s not much you can do or make decisions on other than interact with parents and other family members to build relationships. As an infant, you can engage in two activities to build strong connections with your parents: conversation and spending time. You can also visit the doctor if you're sick.

Childhood
You enter primary school when you’re 6. Now, you have more options to interact with your family: ask for money, compliment, converse, insult, go to the movie theater, spend time, and more. Your choices affect the relationships between you and other family members. At this life stage, you also decide whether to study hard or slack off.

Adolescence
You continue making decisions to strengthen your family ties and study harder in school, or not. Of course, studying hard gives you more chances to be successful in the future. You can take your first driving license test when you are 15 or 16; otherwise, you can take it later. Sometimes, you have to deal with bullying, peer pressure, or first loves.

Adulthood
When you are 18, you graduate from school and choose to pursue higher education or jump into the workforce. This period is full of major life choices, including your job and career path, dating, marriage, parenting, home ownership, purchasing a car, etc. You can commit crimes, go to jail, or become a lawyer and defend others.

As an adult, you can decide where you'd like to live, immigrate to another country or not, visit the doctor, build & maintain healthy family relationships, and so on. Depending on your decisions, life goes differently. For example, if you want a great car and a great house, you need a job with good pay, like a doctor; however, before that, you have to study hard in medical school.

Many other questions to answer during these years: Will you get married or just date to have fun with someone? Or what to do if you want to have a baby with your boyfriend, yet he doesn't want to. Will you break up or continue the relationship? …

Senior Life
In your golden years, it’s time to retire and live a peaceful life. It seems that you have fewer things to worry about. Still, during this stage, you may need to deal with more health issues and illnesses. So, keep a closer eye on your health bar and visit doctors when needed. Spend time with your family and enjoy life your way.

End of life
Your character in BitLife can die at any point, but typically it happens in old age, unless something unexpected occurs earlier. Your choices throughout life determine how your character is remembered—as a hero, villain, or anything else. After death, you can start a new life immediately, beginning as an infant and living a different life.
