bip

bip.so is a wiki tool for communities. Create a wiki for your community's knowledge base with our powerful editor and mod workflows that will save you at least 3+ hours a week!

With the Discord integration, you can:

1. Enable your community members to view and contribute to your wiki.
- You can manage access to bip.so docs based on Discord usernames and roles. Users can log in with Discord to bip.so to view all the docs they have been given access to.
- Through our git workflow, you can enable everyone to come and contribute to your wiki. Every incoming change has to be approved by a moderator of that document.
- After each accepted merge, the users who contributed will be shown as a contributor on the document and everyone can see where and how much they have contributed.

2. Increase the discoverability of your wiki
- Once you integrate with bip.so, all your documents get sent as a message in a channel called #bip-canvases. This messages stays updated as more documents are published to your workspace.
- Through our slash command, /bip-search, users can search for any document they have access to right from Discord itself.

3. Discord message -> document flow
- Many times, important snippets get sent as messages. However, they also need a place in the permanent knowledge base of your community. Enter 'bip Mark'. Right click on any message in your server and select Apps -> bip Mark to capture the messages. You can add it onto an document on bip.so later and have that snippet attributed to the original author from Discord.
